Our Mission

Until August 11, 2017 Katie Jacobson lived every day as if it was her last, and nothing could stop her from pursuing her hopes and dreams. Unfortunately, SUDEP abruptly took her life too soon at the age of 25.

In an effort to keep Katie’s memory alive, The Katherine Jacobson Foundation (KJF) was established to put an end to SUDEP. Our mission is to keep Katie’s memory alive along with putting an end to SUDEP by increasing awareness of this fatal complication through continuous education and support of clinical research to facilitate the quest for a cure.
